Dog Training – Harriman, New York 10926

I started helping by fostering, training, rehabilitate and re-homing rescue dogs. After many years in corporate life, I decided to follow my real passion and calling and am now an ABC Certified Trainer, where I belong. I am employed by Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge in Oakland, NJ as the Head Dog Trainer. I also conduct private training lessons and group classes through my own business Happy Hounds Canine Service. My passion is to work with dogs and their humans so they can be a great team.

My goal is for a happy well balanced and behaved dog, it’s not a one-size-fits- all type situation. Dogs want us to be the leader, and a pet owner should take pride in their dog’s good behavior. All my training is based on positive reinforcement.

When you are raised as an animal lover with a variety of pets, and then work with dogs, one comes away with a lot of stories, both good and bad. But, I prefer to remember the good ones, my motto that “there is always a forever home for every dog,” can be proven time and time again.
